2. Data We Collect
- Order data: name, company name, phone, email, delivery address, and GSTIN, collected at checkout — all required for GST invoicing and delivery.
- Payment data: processed directly by our payment gateway, Razorpay; we do not receive or store your card number, UPI PIN, or banking credentials.
- Communications: emails, WhatsApp messages, and call records relating to your order or a support query.
- Technical data: IP address and basic device/browser information collected automatically when you visit the site, plus the cookies needed to run the cart and checkout (see Section 5).
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your data to process and deliver orders, issue GST invoices, send order updates (by email and WhatsApp), operate Sample Credit and Gift Cards, respond to your enquiries, prevent fraud, and meet our tax and legal obligations. Where we ask for your consent — for example, to send you offers or updates — that is separate from what’s needed to complete your order, and you can withdraw it at any time.
4. Who We Share Data With
We share data only where it’s needed to run your order: our payment gateway (to process payment), our delivery partner (to deliver your order), and, only for Custom Branding orders, our printing partner (to produce your branding artwork). We do not sell your personal data, and vendor brands whose products you buy do not receive your personal data.
5. Cookies
Essential cookies (for your cart, checkout, and basic site security) are always on — the site can’t function without them. We are not currently running analytics or advertising cookies (such as Google Analytics or Meta Pixel). If we add either in future, we will update this page and add cookie consent controls before doing so.
6. How Long We Keep Data
Order and invoice data is retained as required under GST record-keeping rules (generally around 6–8 years — we’ll confirm the exact figure with our accountant and update this page). If you’ve given marketing consent, we keep that data until you withdraw it.
7. Your Rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or withdraw marketing consent, at any time by writing to ajay@chandigarhgifting.com. We are working towards full alignment with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 as its rules come into force, and we will respond to any request as quickly as we reasonably can.
8. Security
We use standard safeguards including SSL encryption on the site and access controls on our systems. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please keep your own account details confidential.
9. If Something Goes Wrong (Data Breach)
If a personal data breach occurs that’s likely to affect you, we will notify you and the relevant authority as required by law, describing what happened and the steps we are taking.
10. Children
ChandigarhGifting.com is a B2B corporate-gifting site intended for business users aged 18 and above. It is not directed at children.
